Vignelli Bench

When designers Lella and Massimo Vignelli couldn't find multi-purpose indoor-outdoor furniture for their home in Italy, they decided to create their own. The Vignelli bench was conceived as a multi-purpose piece that could move effortlessly between indoor and outdoor environments.

Its clean, sculptural silhouette makes it equally suited for use by the pool, in an entryway or hotel lobby, on a tennis or pickleball court, or at a dining table. Durable and low-maintenance, the design brings both function and visual simplicity to residential, hospitality, and workplace settings.

Molded as a hollow form, the bench is lightweight yet sturdy. For added stability outdoors, a concealed opening on the underside allows sand to be added for increased wind resistance.
